Meet the gudmunson's
Andrew and McKenna are both Minot natives and have made their lifelong home in the Magic City. As owners of 701 Realty, Inc. their love and passion for real estate development is a true match for this new endeavor.
Andrew plays on the local scramble tour every summer and loves to hear the phrase "whiskey 9" as much as the Pros running the scramble dread hearing it! For years, it has been a dream of his to bring a top-of-the-line golf simulator bar and restaurant to town.
While McKenna is far from a scratch golfer, she enjoys the sport, friends and cocktails that go with it. No matter your skill level, Whiskey 9 is always a good time and our goal is to bring that good time to our community year round!
Andrew and McKenna are the proud parents of Liv and Quinn! They look forward to sharing these experiences with their kids down the road. Cheers!
Meet the Mahany's
Jeremy and Misty Mahany were both born and raised in Minot, ND. They spent twelve years in Minneapolis where Jeremy owned and operated two bars/restaurants. They returned to Minot in 2014 to be closer to family, at which time they opened the Starving Rooster. Jeremy has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. His culinary skills are part of what won Misty over. The Starving Rooster menu is a display of his passion for creating in the kitchen and is what drew him to this new business endeavor with Whiskey 9. Misty is the Human Resource Coordinator at FMI, which provides back office support for restaurants nationwide.
Their son Greyson (9) enjoys basketball, art, and can’t wait to get into the kitchen with his dad. Their daughter Arden (7) also likes to play basketball, dance and loves the opportunity to compete with her big brother. They enjoy spending their summer weekends at the lake with their family tubing, fishing, and floating on the pontoon. They are excited to begin this new adventure at Whiskey 9.
Meet the black's
Kevin and Kalli Black are native North Dakotans and have called Minot home for the past nine years. Kevin is the President/CEO of Creedence Energy Services, an oil and gas service company specializing in production chemical treatments and well enhancement technologies. Kalli is the President and managing producer for Artz Insurance Agency, Inc of Westhope. The agency focuses primarily in the areas of crop and crop-hail insurance and has been serving local farmers for over forty years. They have three amazing kiddos, Reagan (5) Rawley (3) and Reese (newborn).
Aside from their primary businesses, the couple’s entrepreneurial spirit has bridged over into the world of real estate development, which led to new business and investment opportunities – enter Whiskey Nine! Kalli and Kevin are thrilled to bring a fresh new bar & restaurant concept to downtown Minot. They are passionate about contributing to building a more vibrant downtown community to work, live, and play. Kevin can’t wait for Men’s nights to be extended to a year-round weekly ritual, and, although a fair-weather golfer, Kalli has decided she won’t stow her clubs away after the Westhope Classic this year. They look forward to welcoming you for a round or golf or a round of drinks (or both!) at Whiskey Nine next fall.
